Medicine for a Nightmare: part two

The publishers of this book and audio cassette compilation wished to emphasize creative work in a way that enveloped the reader both visually and auditorily. To participants, they posed the question, “What brings you to see another day?”.

My answer lay in landscape film photos of inversions on snowy mountaintops, heavy clouds of steam plummeting through pines, and a digital, abstract self portrait I shot on a train in Germany. I also contributed a poem titled ‘Still Morning’ where I described the sensory overwhelm that comes with personal misalignment—a feeling I was hyperaware of at that time in my life.

I helped to market merchandise for the project and had the pleasure of connecting with several of the featured writers who deeply inspired me.
